Our Brewery

The BeerCat Microbrewery is located in a vineyard just outside of the village of Sant Marçal, 10km from Vilafranca del Penedès, the region´s capital. Barcelona is 50km to the north, Tarragona is the same distance to the south and the lively resort of Sitges is a 20 minute drive east.

BeerCat is located in a bodega which forms part of Masia Puigmoltó, a winery which dates back to 1186 . The building was extensively renovated and the brewing vessels have been purpose built in collaboration with local craftsmen who were able to adapt the skills acquired in making vessels for the wine and cava industry.

Our brewery has a current capacity of 3,200 litres per week. Using only the finest hops and malts, our beers are fresh and distinctive.

A glass partition divides the brewery from the bar and shop area.

The original bar counter from the Plume of Feathers pub in Bristol, now forms the centrepiece of the bar and tasting area.
