Our Story
As soon as we saw the disused bodega with its antiquated wine presses covered in cobwebs, we knew that the long search to find a home for our new craft brewery was at an end.
Three years earlier we had given up our day jobs as criminal lawyers plying our trade in the courts of South London, in order to follow a long-held dream. That dream was to set up a microbrewery producing artisan beer in a location usually associated with wine and cava.
We’d been visiting Catalonia for many years and following a tour of the Codorníu cava estate, we fell in love with the Penedès area. Having found an old Masia (Catalan farmhouse) and spent a number of years renovating it and at the same time grappling with the intricacies of Spanish and Catalan grammar, we finally packed up our London lives and moved permanently to Spain.
The search to find the perfect site for a brewery then began in earnest.
