Our first beer left the BeerCat fermenters in November 2013. At that time we were based in the building that housed the old wine press of Cavas Puigmoltó, just outside of Sant Marçal, 40km south of Barcelona. We rapidly outgrew those premises and in March 2016 opened  our current brewery based in a former bodega in Vilafranca del Penèdes, the commercial centre of the Penedès wine industry.

The building housing the bar and brewery is a typical example of early 20th century Catalan industrial wine architecture, with stone and brick walls supporting a wooden ´A´ frame structure (caballo) under arab tiles.
